sashagee went back to work today after being off for medical leave...or at least, she would have gone back to work except she was sent home almost immediately after arriving because she didn't have the right doctor's note. Yes, they sent her home on her first day returning to work because she didn't have the proper note for the time she had off. She has to go back to the doctor and get a new note that will allow her to justify the time she had off before she'll be able to work, and while she has an appointment tomorrow, it's still another missed day. She can't work now until she proves that she couldn't work then, even though without proof, doesn't that mean she could have worked this whole time?
Basically, what I'm saying is that workers of the world should unite because they have nothing to lose but their chains.
On the other hand, I can't complain too much because it's a beautiful day in Chicago. It's blue skies and sunny with a cool breeze and 24°C, so
sashagee has revived the plan from last week of going out for a walk along the beach. We were going to get ramen and go eat it on the beach last Thursday, but it threatened rain and the weather report finally confirmed it so we just came back and ate at my place. Now it's like a fall day, so we're going to treat it like one. I've already had the windows open all day and I'm looking forward to that lake wind.
