A taste of spring

It was snowing yesterday morning, and there was snow on the ground and the trees when I woke up this morning, but in between when I went to the grocery store, I walked through an alleyway and saw that the plum blossoms were in bloom:
I wrote a month and a half ago about Fool's Spring, and this is another example of it. But I'm glad I detoured down that alleyway to avoid people walking on the sidewalk and found this, growing over the fence in someone's tiny backyard.
