Spring has sprung
I usually hide inside when the daystar is out, but lately I've been heading out even on Sundays to keep the streak going on Pokemon Go. Today I also had a library book to return, so I went a bit further than I usually do and I actually enjoyed the sunlight. It's nice and warm--18°C--without being hot and there's plenty of shade along the way in case the sunlight starts hurting my eyes. I think that's the cue to me enjoying sunny days--extremely small doses.
I did take a picture while I was walking, though. There's a tree in bloom in the courtyard of a local church that reminded me a lot of the cherry blossoms in Japan:

Leaves tag used because I don't have a flowers tag.

I got an Onix and a Yanma out of an egg during the Spring Festival, and managed to catch enough Oddishes to evolve a Bellossom.
But in terms of actually finding pokemon in the wild? Not really.

In terms of finds in the wild, I got enough magikarp for my second Gyarados.
Hatches, I got a Scyther that I evolved into a Scizor, a Ponyta that let me evolve a Rapidash, my first Chancy, a Lapras, and an Aerodactyl!
It helped the timeframe of the event was during a period where I had reason to walk more *anyway* and, well, walks of 4-7 miles on multiple days in a week really chew through eggs. Still got a few more event 2ks to hatch, too...

Taking mass transit to work means I get a lot of walking time in. The subway counts some steps too, especially lately when it's been moving so slowly that I might as well be walking sometimes...

It's so weird when soon after G2 came out, there were some fully evolved high CP G2 pokemon on gyms within the week.

I guess there's high-rollers who have a lot of extra incubators going much of the time. If someone's willing to spend cash, that can get a lot of rare pokemon pretty fast.
Heck, there's a level 40 in my area.
